betPawa paint 8 markets green to support local vendors

We’ve painted 8 markets around Accra green by handing out thousands of umbrellas and aprons to vendors to help protect them from the sun and rain.

We spent August and early September soaking up the atmosphere at Madina Market, Agbogbloshie Market, Kaneshie Market, Makola, Kasoa Market, Ashaiman Market, Nima and Circle Tip-Toe Lane.
In total, we handed out 2,800 umbrellas and 2,850 aprons to delighted market vendors, whose vital community work will no longer be disrupted by the weather.

One woman at Madina Market said: “betPawa, the people of Madina are so thankful. We thank you for being helpful. We are very grateful. You have taken off our burden of sitting under the scorching sun.

Another added: “We are very grateful for this beautiful gesture. This is unexpected and, better still, free. For your gifts, we can still work whenever it is raining.”
